![]() Ok - I'm a sales guy not a techy, and I have my support people or Microsoft people to tell me run a trace? What the hell is that? All I know is I can't get my Outlook to work with my Microsoft CRM. Well here is a quick down and dirty to get the technical guys some detailed information they need to help you troubleshoot your problem. 1. Start menu > All Programs > Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 > Diagnostics 2. Click on Advanced Troubleshooting tab, and select “Tracing”. Then click Save. 3. Click on the following path to find the .txt files you will need to email or provide to yourtechnical support. C:\Users\JimSales\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM\Traces 4. Make sure after you are down troubleshooting that you follow the above steps again and turn the "Trace" off as it may cause performance problems if left on. BAM! Jim Sales person you are now an empowered techno research guy. Actually reading the log files should be left to the experts. They may cause sudden blindness for a sales person.
