The leaves are about to turn, there is a nip in the air and football season is in full swing. The Packers, the Patriots, the Cardinals, Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, UCLA; the list goes on and on. What fun!
All their hours of hard work are now very visible. So which of these teams entered the season without a plan? Let that thought marinate for a moment.
During a recent meeting with a Client, the topic of their 2016 strategic business plan came up and the Owner/CEO stated that he thought his team had plenty of time to get it done. “Heck, we’re only in the third quarter!”
But the reality is that in less than 60 work days they will be in the middle of strategic planning. In the infamous words of John Madden, “boom” they’ll be well into 2016 without a plan or much momentum.
