We have found with the migration of many instances of Microsoft Dynamics CRM onpremise to Microsoft CRM Online, and 3rd party hosted as well as with upgrades the Outlook Client can be troublesome.
We have also found that just doing a standard uninstall doesn't always do the trick.
Here is a quick easy guide to double check a clean uninstall of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook Client:
The steps are as follows:
A. Uninstall "Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for from ‘Add/Remove Programs’ in the 'Control Panel'
B. Delete the following folders from the machine:
C. Delete the following registry keys:
Click Start -> Run -> type 'RegEdit' -> Browse to the following locations:
HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/MSCRM (Delete the 'MSCRM' folder)
HKEY_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/MSCRM (Delete the 'MSCRM' folder)
Please note this is not an end all fix all and you shouldn't be dabbling with your registration files if you don't know what you are doing!
